About Me
The main objective of my work is to bring healing, comfort, and a sense of harmony to my patients. Acupuncture, along with other treatments I use, pave the way towards trying to achieve this goal.
I treat each individual patient with the utmost of care and thrive on getting to know them, understanding the root cause of their condition, and treating them according to their needs.
I initially trained in TCM at the College of Chinese Medicine in Edinburgh, qualifying with distinction. A few years later, I was introduced to Classical Chinese Medicine, an ancient and less practiced way but, in my mind, the most comprehensive of all. It treats all conditions, including chronic degenerative diseases, and addresses the root of the problem rather than just the symptoms.
I have a particular interest in women’s health, beginning at puberty, moving towards reproductive health & pregnancy and beyond. I have supported individuals and couples on the path to becoming parents, bridging the gap between western medicine and the world of complementary therapies. Alongside fertility issues, I treat many patients who are seeking relief from difficult symptoms during pregnancy or post-partum.
In addition, managing pain in its many forms is a great area of curiosity, enjoyment and satisfaction for me. It afflicts most of us at some point in our lives and can be very debilitating for many. My aim is to provide relief and a degree of increased freedom.
I am a registered practitioner with the CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council) for Microsystem Acupuncture. This organisation makes the case to government for the use of complementary healthcare to raise awareness and enhance the UK’s health and wellbeing. Doctors are able to refer patients to practitioners registered with CNHC.
